St. Vincent
The Ralph Erickson Educational Foundation is seeking grantees and participants for its next PADI IDC in St. Vincent.
The program includes the Emergency First Response Instructor Course (EFRI), PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC), and Instructor Examination (IE).
The EFRI and IDC will be conducted from September 6th – 15th, 2023. The IE will run from September 16th- 17th, 2023.
To enroll in the IDC, you must first be a Divemaster or higher from any agency and have proof of 100 dives. For EFRI, you must have already completed a first aid and CPR course from any agency.
There are three levels of participation for this program:
Grantees
For local islanders, the foundation offers grants from those who cannot otherwise afford to participate in the program.
Applicants are required to submit a resume by filling out the application form below. The Foundation’s committee will review your request and inform you if you are awarded the grant.
The REEF grant covers your EFRI, IDC, and all codes, materials, and application fees.
However, grantees must provide a $600 deposit to participate in the course. The deposit must be provided before codes for e-learning are sent and helps us ensure students' full participation in the course. Upon completion of the PADI IDC, deposits will be applied to the PADI IE.
Donate
As part of our fundraising efforts, we do accept students into the program whose participation cost goes towards the funding of REEF programs. Students may make a $1,200 dollar donation for the EFRI and IDC portions of the class. In addition, students are individually responsible for the cost of materials, fees, and the IE. What better way to earn your instructor certification than by applying the already existing cost to a good cause?
IDC Staff Instructor
The Foundation allows students wishing to complete their IDC staff instructor to audit the course for a $500 dollar donation. For IDC Staff instructors wishing to staff the program, we ask for a $250 donation. All participation is counted towards your IDC staff instructor or Master Instructor certification. Students are individually responsible for the course materials and fees.
